Meet Ashley Swartzlander of Comfort Keepers

Comfort Keepers is dedicated to an interactive caregiving appoach for seniors. In Ashley's words "a client of ours said to me once “Do you want to know what the hardest part about getting old for me is? Feeling like no one needs me anymore”. When I meet with seniors, this is often a feeling that is expressed. The need for companionship is an important piece of someone’s overall quality of life. And in fact, when surveyed, seniors say that is the one thing they need the most. While it’s important to address any medical or physical challenges seniors may be facing at home, it’s equally as important to make sure that their emotional, social, mental, and spiritual needs are met as well. Through our interactive caregiving approach, Comfort Keepers can help to provide these non-medical home care services to help individuals maintain happy, dignified, and independent lives."
